CALL TO ORDER
A Regular Meeting of the East Hartford Economic Development Commission was called to order at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 by Commissioner Marilyn Pet, Chair.

- Greg Mahoney, Town Engineer will be emailing Ms. Pet a map to begin the process
- CEDF – Main Street Improvement
- 47 businesses were surveyed along the Main Street corridor, bridge to bridge
- Business Directory
- Results of the survey showed that area businesses would like a directory put together. Ms. Webb suggested compiling one similar to the restaurant guide on the EHWorks website
- Results of the survey showed a need for better signage. The signage taskforce will be emailed regarding an upcoming meeting with the Planning & Zoning Commission.
- International Arts Bazaar – Collaboration between Chamber and EDC
- EHCC is going to partner with EDC for the bazaar this summer to be held at Goodwin College. Ms. Webb will be meeting with the organizers of the Wadsworth Mansion Bazaar for tips on how to market the event.
- The lunch club will be meeting the last Friday of each month at an area restaurant.
- The first luncheon will be held at Le’s Vietnamese Restaurant on Main Street on Friday, January 29, 2010. Ms. Webb will email the commission with the start time.
- Development – Incentive Housing Zones
- Ms. Webb received a draft of the first set of proposals and will review with a report to follow.
- Sofrito Puerto Rico – the January 13 visit will be rescheduled due to a meeting conflict
- Ms. Webb suggested visiting Burnside Brewery
- Ms. Pet suggested visiting Paradise Restaurant Equipment
